What is Online Banking?
Online Banking is a service that allows you access to all of your MidAmerica National Bank accounts through a secure website.
  • View your checking and savings account transactions, statements, available balances, loan balances and much more.
  • Make transfers between accounts, including making loan payments.
  • Check imaging allows you to view and print the front and back of your checks for research and legal proof of payment.
  • With Online Bill Pay, you can pay anyone from the comfort of your computer.

Can I see what Online Banking is like without signing up first?
Absolutely! Simply stop by and get a one-on-one demonstration of Online Banking and/or Online Bill Pay at one of our bank locations! Just ask for our Customer Service Department. The demonstrations are only available at our main banking centers in Canton (100 W. Elm Street) and Macomb (130 N. Side Square). You may also click here for an interactive demo.

How do I sign up for Online Banking?
  • In order to sign up for Online Banking, you will need to complete, print and sign the Online Banking Application. Your application is not complete until we receive a copy of the printed and signed form.
  • You may send your signed Online Banking Form to us in several different ways. 1) Drop it off to us at any of our locations. 2) Mail it to: MidAmerica National Bank Customer Service / P.O. Box 310 / Canton, IL 61520. 3) Fax it to: 309-647-8178. 4) Scan it and email it to: online@midnatbank.com.
  • Once we receive your signed Online Banking Form, you will receive confirmation through the U.S. Postal Service in 5-7 business days. You will then have access to your account 24/7.

What do I need to connect to Online Banking?
You need four things to access Online Banking: 1) Internet access, 2) Our web address: www.midnatbank.com, 3) Your username, and 4) Your password.

Which web browser should I use?
In order to ensure the best possible Online Banking experience, be sure you are using the most up to date versions of these browsers: Microsoft Internet Explorer 8, 9, 10, or 11; Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome or Apple Safari. Your browser will need both JavaScript and cookies enabled to access and operate within the site.

Where and when can I access Online Banking?
You can access Online Banking anywhere with Internet access. All Online Banking features are available at all times except during maintenance and updates. 

What about security?
Security is very important to MidAmerica National Bank. Customer information is held behind secure gateways and firewalls. When viewing your information you will be able to see it behind the latest SSL technology. Information is also sent to us in encryption. Security, however, is a customer's responsibility as well. It is important that you trust your Internet access device (this means that you only open trusted e-mails and that you keep your anti-virus software updated). Do not share your password with anyone.

How does MidAmerica National Bank protect my information?
To safeguard all financial and personal information, MidAmerica National Bank's Online Banking:
  • Requires a User Name
  • Uses Login Security authentication
  • Uses secure SSl encryption for all Online Banking sessions
  • Retains all account data in secure bank systems
  • Ensures that email received by the bank is seen by authorized employees of MidAmerica National Bank
  • Uses systems that protect all financial and personal information and are anchored by industry standard security features


What is Login Security?

Login Security is an online security feature that provides an additional layer of protection from fraud and identity theft by preventing unauthorized access to your secure financial information. It allows us to recognize you as the true owner of your account by recognizing not only your login information but also your computer. If we don't recognize your computer, you will be requested to receive a new verification code sent to your phone either via text or voice call in order to authenticate yourself. You can select to remember your device upon logging in so that we recognize your device the next time you log in and not require you to complete this step again.


What about my privacy?
Privacy is also very important to MidAmerica National Bank. We collect, retain and use individual customer information only when we reasonably believe it would be useful, and allowable by law, to administer to your business needs in providing products, services and other opportunities to our customers. Is there any way someone could access my account information by having Internet access?
No, the information is secured and you will have your own password. You have to enter the password each time you sign on. If entered incorrectly four times, you will be locked out and will need to contact our Customer Service Department at 1-877-647-5050.

How do I change my password?
Sign on to Online Banking, go to My Settings, then select Update Password.


What if I forget my password?
If you forget your password, you can contact our Customer Service Department at 1-877-647-5050.


Can I export my transaction information?
Yes, you may export account transaction information into Microsoft Money or Quicken.

Are there any limits on how much I can transfer at one time in Online Banking?
Yes, you choose the maximum amount when you set up transfers in the Online Banking Form. Online Banking will not let you transfer more than your chosen maximum limit at one time, but you may go back in and transfer as many times as you would like. You may change the maximum amount by calling the Customer Service Department at 1-877-647-5050.

Can I use Online Banking with my smartphone or tablet?
Yes, you can access Online Banking through the browser on your smartphone or tablet just like you would on your desktop, or you can download our Mobile Banking App (click here for more information).



Online Bill Pay

How do I sign up for Online Bill Pay?
In order to enroll in Online Bill Pay, you must first have Online Banking with MidAmerica National Bank. Once you have established Online Banking, signing up for Online Bill Pay is as easy as logging in with your username and password and clicking on "Bill Payment" at the top of the screen! 

How does Online Bill Pay work?
Through our secure website, you authorize our third party bill pay processor to electronically debit your checking account the day you selected the payment to be processed and forward the payment amount to the payee. The payment will be sent electronically or by check. If sent electronically, the payment may take up to three business days to be paid. If sent by check, the payment may take up to five business days to reach the payee. With Online Bill Pay, you can also download payments to Quicken®, MS Money® and text or CSV format. Previously downloaded payments are marked online to avoid duplication.

You can make a payment to any individual, business or merchant with a United States address.

How long do you store my payment history?
The last 24 months of payment history is available through Online Bill Pay.

What is an eStatement?
An eStatement is an electronic version of your regular paper bank statement.

How do eStatements work?
You'll receive an email that notifies you when your eStatement is available. At your convenience, sign into Online Banking to view your eStatement.

Are eStatements secure?
Security is one of the many benefits of eStatements. Only you can access your statements through the security of Online Banking. eStatements also eliminate the possibility of statements being lost or falling into the wrong hands (fraud).

How do I sign up for eStatements?
There are three easy ways to sign up for eStatements:
  1. Complete our Online Banking Form and return it to us in one of these ways: email to online@midnatbank.com, bring the completed form to any MidAmerica National Bank location; or mail the completed form to MidAmerica National Bank, PO Box 310, Canton, IL 61520.
  2. Opt-in through Online Banking by clicking on the eStatements tab and following the prompts.
  3. Visit any MidAmerica National Bank location.

May I receive eStatements for all my accounts?
You may receive eStatements with Checking, Savings, Money Market and NOW Accounts.

What if I would like to receive paper statements along with eStatements?
There is not an option to receive paper statements and eStatements simultaneously.

How do I view my eStatement once I receive my notification email?
To view your eStatement, log into your Online Banking account, select the eStatements tab, choose the account from drop down menu and select the monthly eStatement you would like to view. You may then view, print or download.

When will I receive my eStatement notification?
One of the many benefits of eStatements is you will receive your bank statements faster than waiting for mail delivery! As soon as your eStatement is ready each month, you will be notified via email.

What if my email address changes?
You are responsible for notifying MidAmerica National Bank of any email address changes. You can call our Customer Service Department at 1-877-647-5050 or email us your new information at online@midnatbank.com.

Can I print my eStatements?
You may print and save your eStatement, just like you would print any other document from your computer. 

How long is my eStatement stored online?
Up to twelve months of eStatements can be accessed through Online Banking. 

Can I view check images?
Yes, you may view check images online. If you have MidAmerica Classic Checking or MidAmerica M-Club Checking, your check images will appear on your statement. If you have MidAmerica eChecking or MidAmerica M-Club eChecking, you can click on the individual check numbers on the account history page in Online Banking to view check images. 

What should I do if I need copies of statements or cancelled checks from before I enrolled for eStatements? 
Call a Customer Service Representative at 1-877-647-5050… we'll be happy to help you (charges may apply). 

Can I cancel eStatements and go back to paper statements?
MidAmerica Classic Checking, Business Checking and Savings Accounts can cancel eStatements and go back to receiving paper statements at any time. However, if you are a MidAmerica eChecking or MidAmerica M-Club eChecking account holder, you are required to have eStatements. 

Can I have my eStatement notification sent to more than one email address?
Yes, you can. We can send it to up to three different email addresses.

Will my eStatement look the same as my paper statement?
Yes, our eStatements look the same as our paper statements.

Do I need any special software to view my eStatements?
Your eStatements are available in PDF format. Access to your eStatements is available on any computer with Internet access and Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader, click here for a free download.

How will I receive year-end tax statements?
End-of-year statements will be sent through U.S. Postal Mail.
