MidAmerica National Bank is dedicated to helping young adults get a Great Start. By offering
Great Start Checking and sponsoring the Great Start Scholarship, we’re helping students achieve their financial goals and assisting them in furthering their higher or technical education. The Great Start Scholarship is open to students enrolling full time in a two or four year College, University or Vocational School. This scholarship is a one-time award of $500 to be used towards the cost of tuition and fees. MidAmerica National Bank will award one $500 scholarship to two different students each year. Applicants must reapply each year that they are eligible to receive the scholarship.
SELECTION CRITERIA
1. Essay
2. Applicant’s desire to succeed
REQUIREMENTS
1. Applicant must be a current high school senior or high school graduate
2. Applicant must be under the age of 23
3. The scholarship is open to students who are enrolled or are enrolling in full time in a two or four year College, University or Vocational School
4. Applicant must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher
REQUIRED MATERIALS
1. Completed application
2. High School or College/University Transcripts
3. Essay
Applications will be accepted February 1 - April 15.

Enrollment in the Great Start Checking Account is not required to apply. Applicants are not required to be MidAmerica National Bank customers. MidAmerica National Bank employees and/or their children are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.
