Changing banks can be a big decision and a real challenge. That’s why we’ve designed this easy Switch Kit to guide you step-by-step through the move. This kit includes several worksheets and forms that will make it easy for you to make MNB “your bank for life”.

Just follow these easy steps and you’ll be switched in no time!

Step 1. Open your MidAmerica National Bank account.


Choose the MNB location that is most convenient for you. A Personal Banker at any location can advise you on the accounts and services to fit your needs and lifestyle or click on the following links to view our account options. Schedule an appointment and a Personal Banker will contact you to schedule a convenient time to meet or call 877-647-5050 to make an appointment. Once your new account is funded, you can begin using your new account immediately.

If you prefer, you can also open an account online. (Please note that it could take up to 45 days to open the account online.)

Step 2. Complete our easy Switch Kit.

 

This is one of the most important aspects of a smooth transition. It’s a good idea to have your last two bank statements available to review the automated transactions you need to move. We’ve provided new account information forms for you to use to notify your employer, other direct depositors, and any vendors you have authorized to charge your account.   • Direct Deposits - Use this form to switch payroll direct deposits.
  • Automatic Deposits - Use this form to switch dividends, annuities, or other recurring automatic deposits.
  • Automatic Deductions - Use this form to switch monthly memberships, loan payments, or other recurring deductions.
  • Account Closure Form - Use this form to notify your old bank that you are closing your account.

 

Step 3. Close your old accounts.


Your MNB account is ready to go! Confirm that all outstanding checks have been cleared on your old account. Verify that your direct deposits have been redirected to your new account. Check with any payees who have not redirected your automatic payments. Finally, use the Account Closure Form to notify your old bank that you are closing your account.
