Great Start Scholarship Recipients

Brenna Clark and Samuel Mason have been awarded MidAmerica National Bank’s Great Start Scholarships for the 2021-2022 school year. They were each presented with $500 scholarships that will be applied to their college tuition. The Great Start Scholarships were created to help students get a “great start” on their education.

Brenna Clark graduated from Lewistown High School in 2021, where she was a member of the National Honor Society and received High Honor Roll. She was Junior and Senior Class President and active in Drama Club, Dance Team, and Spanish Club. She will attend Illinois State University and plans to receive her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Psychology, then plans to purse her specialist degree in School Psychology and become a school psychologist.

Samuel Mason is a recent graduate of Canton High School, where he received the Board of Education Scholarship Award for three years and was a member of the National Honor Society. In high school, he was involved in Cross Country, Science Olympiad, Math Team, and Scholastic Bowl. Samuel plans to attend the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign as a physics major and eventually enter the doctorate program to obtain a Ph.D, in physics. He would like to enter the research and design sector of physical science to become a professional research scientist.
Brenna and Samuel were each presented with $500 scholarships that will be applied to their college tuition.

MNB was proud to donate $800 to the Dravet Syndrome Foundation with our weekly 'Casual for a Cause' donations from MNB employees during the month of May.

MNB was proud to donate $700 to The Salvation Army with our weekly 'Casual for a Cause' donations from MNB employees during the month of July.

Congratulations to these 3 important organizations! Spoon River Pregnancy Center, YWCA of Canton, and the Humane Society of Fulton County were the recipients of our 'Vote For Your Favorite Charity' contest in July. The organizations will split $1933, which signifies the year MNB was established. Thanks to all who voted throughout the month of July.
